    this song makes me a little sad, as I feel simpathy for the character. most people think that stuart wrote this song inspired by isobel, but it's actually the perspective of a girl that watches a friend reaching success while she wears jumpers, work after hours and get cheated by her boyfriend.
    maybe stuart was already thinking about 'god help the girl' at the time...
