I went to Basel yesterday to visit the Art Basel, one of the world's most important art shows, featuring nearly 300 leading galleries from all over the world. But I didn't just go because of the art. I thought, it certainly must be a good opportunity to find fashionable people in Switzerland for my blog. But when I arrived, I was a bit disappointed not seeing as many as I hoped to. Maybe because I got there quite late. Maybe my expectations were too high. I already wanted to leave and head home to Zurich when I saw him walking towards. He immediately caught my attention. I knew I had to get his picture taken. His style is quite different to what I'm usually looking for. Also different to my own style. But I like it. Sometimes someone's outfit just hits you unexpectedly. After all, fashion is about individuality, isn't it? Just think about how different the last fashion show of Alber Elbaz was in comparison to Alexander McQueen's! I would have never expected to see someone like him in good old Switzerland. What a surprise. He wasn't Swiss though. French.

  3. Daring - but he pulls it off. Shame about not seeing many interesting people, but at least the art must have been good.

    It would be mine

  4. The fact that he's not Swiss explains it all =D Haha. I love his style - so individual and cool. When I saw the thumbnail of this on my blogloving I didn't think it would be Swiss streetsyle ^o^ Great find!

Hope you enjoyed yourself at Art Basel though!

  8. Every item on him looks pretty nice. That bow is pretty unexpected, but it seems to make his outfit that much cooler!

  12. i love how this comes together, separately you don't expect them to be show stopping, but as an outfit it's great.

  20. He looks just like that guy from almost famous, you know the 15 year old reporter guy? Love his outfit.

  21. I think he looks just dressed up. I don't know his ways but for a seventeen year old this is just too much. I consider someone like this a fashion victim. Regardless of his youth he looks already so weary and tired. I don't like that in young people.
Anyway: I like his posture but his haircut isn't matching the hat...

Somehow I do not really know what to think. I don't see the point in that bowtie, seems a litte eclectic. Not mature or individual.
